Write Options Editing and Proofreading Fees

 

With over 10 years experience in writing and editing, we provide editing services that meet Australian Editing Standards and the Australian Style Manual 6th Edition (Wiley, 2013). 

 

Our hourly rate is $40 AUD including GST ($20 per 30 mins)

 

Typical editing speeds:

 

  • 2,000 words per hour for documents that need structural, copy and development editing (fair bit of work)

 

  • 4,000 words per hour for documents that need minor copy editing and proofreading (light editing)

 

For example to edit a report or essay of 10,000 words the cost would be between $100 - $220 AUD

Our Pricing Policy

Our Pricing Policy is centred on flexibility and negotiation.   We appreciate that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to the writing needs of our customers.  Every customer’s needs and circumstances are unique.  For example, correspondence varies in complexity, as does the level of research required to prepare resumes etc. There may be language or cultural variations that need to be accommodated. 

 

The policy of “Write Options” is to establish standard rates for core services to act as a guide to negotiations with customers.

Our Skills

  • Highly detailed writers, editors and proof readers applying Australian editing standards in formatting, grammar and punctuation

  • Advanced users of Microsoft Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)

  • Highly efficient keyboarding  60 words per minute

  • Tertiary qualified in professional writing, editing, journalism, creative writing, public administration and management, politics, business and human resources management

  • Extensive ability in personal and professional coaching, able to coach you in the delivery of your document and advise you on how to pitch it to your audience
